Ways to Give
Become a Dragon
Giving to a charity is a common thing for millions of people around the world, those who want to give to those in need and less well off than themselves. Here at Rising Tide we also recognise the importance of making resources go as far as possible and that they are used for things that will bring real benefit.
Becoming a Dragon means that you will be presented with creative enterprise ideas from young people who have not had a good start to life and want to better themselves. You can then decide to support that person and idea financially and in person if you wish. The young people will then work with our business network to develop the idea while supporting other young people through peer mentoring and good citizenship initiatives.
Please email gabin@rising-tide.co.uk to speak to the Director of Rising Tide about getting involved in this programme.
Payroll Giving
Payroll giving is a tax-efficient way of giving directly from your pay. The money comes out of your salary before it is taxed. Making a monthly donation through your payroll is one of the most cost-effective ways of helping us help children. Giving to us before you are taxed means the gift is worth more, because the money you would have given to the Inland Revenue comes to us instead. If you would like to donate to us via Payroll, please fill out the form below and send it back to us.
Leave a Legacy
The money we receive from charity legacies helps many vulnerable children. A charity legacy in your will is exempt from inheritance tax and probably the most tax-effective gift you can make to your favourite charities. Your solicitor will be able to advise you on the exact wording for including a gift to Rising Tide in your will but you should ensure the following details are included in your will:

Rising Tide

Registered charity no: 1113732
Gift Aid
Help us make more of your gift by filling out a Gift Aid form! Gift aid is tax relief on money donated to UK charities. Please note that donors must pay enough UK income tax and/or capital gains tax themselves to cover the amount of tax the charity will reclaim.
Volunteering
There are various areas within Rising Tide where individuals can volunteer their time or expertise, from events and short times of commitment to supporting a department within Rising Tide such as marketing, artist development etc.
If you would like to put your name forward for volunteer opportunities at Rising Tide please email us via our contact us page.

Youth Committee
The Rising Tide youth committee is made up of long standing young members of the Rising Tide Centre in Hackney. Twelve people aged between 16 and 18 offer the Rising Tide Board of Trustees advice on youth matters and work with the senior management team to help develop youth provision and activities.
Our youth commitment
We are committed to the personal and professional development of young people, helping them to find a voice and overcome the barriers that internally and externally imposed upon them. Rising Tide are an agent of self investment, giving young people the access and ownership of their local facilities for them to use to their own end, always encouraging positive attitudes and constantly rewarding achievement and commitment to improve and build up others.
By training and up-skilling young people, local musicians, producers and alike to develop musical ability and to embrace business and strategic planning, we support the UK’s creative industries and acknowledge our responsibility to people regeneration and community restoration.
Whether we are working with schools, universities, communities or industry professionals, we always encourage the development business acumen to creative outpourings.
Testimonials
SCRAPPY
"Rising Tide has made me reach places in my music career that I have dreamt of for years. Through Rising Tide I have managed to collect awards for my music and have managed to be involved with the best producers, DJs, venues, promoters in my genre of music.
To have access to a studio that is state of the art is fantastic for artists like myself who are independent and trying to get a foot in the door of the industry.
I can start from producing 1 track to going to an album and performing on international events not only in the UK but overseas all with the help of Rising Tide.
It’s like a one stop music facility with the answers to every question you have in the industry. I am currently in my 3-4th year now being a professional musician and I’m looking to record my 3rd album for the 3rd consecutive year.
I would love to stay and talk but I have an album to go produce and have meetings so look out for it in the year. hahaa. bye"
Endorsements

Every time I visit Rising Tide in Hackney I feel inspired. I'm in complete awe of the amount of talent being supported there, whether it's a band rehearsing in one of the practise rooms, DJ's, singers, musicians, promoters or someone tapping away on the piano in the foyer. The breadth of talent is staggering.
Rising Tide is a school of excellence with a dedicated and committed staff of tutors that feels like a close knit family. RT has been gifted with delivering a range of music workshops since 1999 it's established itself as the leading music education provider in East London. A shining light and example to other organisations.

Rising Tide's consistent visionary approach in the field of grass-roots music & arts training has stood the test of time and circumstance: In spite of being under resourced, we have witnessed the team, under dedicated and exemplary leadership, tirelessly conduct imaginative programmes, maintaining integrity with industry contacts and the respect of the young people. There are so many of us who have benefited from their efforts. Given the demands that are ahead of us in the sector, we look forward to continuing our partnership support and hope that Rising Tide will be given the right kind of financial investment to realise our ambitions for the beneficiaries who are the future UK music & arts.
